MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AND BENEFITS

There are two levels of participation available in the Nevada County Sportsmen’s Club (NCSC).

Full Membership; Full Membership is limited to 200 positions

Requirements:

Complete a membership application (available at the Club House).
You will be placed on the Waiting List or you can purchase a transfer membership from a Full member.
Pass a background investigation conducted by the Vice President
Be certified by the Range Master (Rifle/Pistol, Trap and Archery)
Appear before the Board of Directors for a brief interview/personal presentation.
Annual Dues: Currently $150 per year
Complete 24 hours of volunteer work for the Club each calendar year (at a minimum).

Benefits of Full membership:

Voting Privileges. Able to hold Club Officer positions.
Able to shoot (Rifle/Pistol and Trap) Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Archery ranges available 7 days per week.
No cost for shooting Archery. Reduced cost for shooting Trap, Rifle/Pistol.
Ability to bring Guests during Member shooting periods. Spouse and children under 18 shoot for no charge (except reduced charge for trap).

Affiliate Membership: Affiliates are limited to 55 positions (renew Annually)

Affiliates are persons interested in participating in the shooting sports at the NCSC.

Requirements;

Complete an affiliate application (available at the Club House)
Fill an existing opening or be placed on the affiliate waiting list.
Pass a background investigation conducted by the Vice President.
Be certified by the Range Master (Rifle/Pistol, Trap and Archery).
Appear before the Board of Directors for a brief interview/personal presentation.
Pay a one time initiation fee of $175
Annual Dues: Currently $75 per year.
Compete a minimum of 12 hours of volunteer work for the Club each calendar year.

All Affiliates are required to complete at least 6 hours of the 12 hour work requirement by the 1st of September of that year (or four months after joining the Club).

Benefits of Affiliates;

Able to shoot Rifle/Pistol and Trap during Member's shooting periods.
Able to bring Spouse and immediate family members (dependent children under 18) as guest shooters during Member's shooting periods.
Affiliates and their guests must pay full range fees for Archery. Rifle/Pistol, Trap offers discounted range fees.
Affiliates may attend Club meetings and social functions.
Affiliates may elect to move up to Full Membership, if an opening exists (waiting list or transfer)
