Youth Programs

The Nevada County Sportsmen Club (NCSC) provides a safe environment for the youth of our community through the following programs;  Archery, Sports Shooting, Hunter Education and 4-H.

4-H is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month between October-June (excluding December).  Activities include Archery/Rifle/Pistol/Trap (see below).  Lunch is provided however donations are greatly appreciated.  All Children interested in shooting Rifle/Pistol/Trap must complete a 3 hour safety class that is held in October and November.  Live fire for Rifle and Pistol is limited to .22 cal rifles. The program provides all equipment and ammunition, if a 4-H member wants to bring a personal Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun they are welcome but each firearm must be checked out by an instructor.  Please do not bring ammunition, this is all provided at no cost.

4-H Pistol is part of the 4-H shooting program for ages 12 through high school.  All participants must participate in at least one year of rifle training to qualify for pistol.
